Hi Again!

Let alone have the privilege of helping indie filmmakers like you, I wouldn’t have believed it. My journey has been full of unexpected twists and turns, each one shaping the path I walk today.

If you had told me 20 years ago that I’d become a film producer,

Let's Start From The Beginning

After graduating college, I was armed with an accounting degree and a dream of becoming a backup dancer for Janet Jackson!

So, I put the degree on hold and took a leap of faith and auditioned for the San Antonio Spurs dance team. I made the team and had the time of my life performing in front of thousands of fans—until a torn ACL left me searching for my next move.

That search led me to acting gigs in Dallas and Austin, and eventually, to packing up my car and moving to Los Angeles with no plan, just passion. I booked roles in Film & TV and commercials, but something was missing. I wanted to create stories, not just act in them. I didn’t have a roadmap, but I trusted my instincts.

A Chance Encounter Changed Everything

One day, I met a casting director in a candle store,
of all places!

That conversation led to a role in Jerusalem Countdown, where I worked with David A.R. White, owner of the production company behind the film. When I shared my dream of producing, he gave me a shot!

I dove headfirst into producing his ultra low-budget indie films while foregoing a paycheck, for the invaluable experience. Little did I know that this path would lead me to producing major feature films and spending over a decade with the company.

From Indie Films to Box Office Hits

In 2014, we produced God’s Not Dead, which
became the highest-grossing indie film of the
year, earning $60 million.

That success opened doors to projects like Dancer and the Dame (2014), Hitting the Breaks (2016), and more. By 2021, I stepped into directing with Courting Mom & Dad and continued executive producing hits like Sons of Thunder: Redemption (Season 2).

Recent projects include Strong Fathers, Strong Daughters (2022), Nothing’s Impossible (2023), and God’s Not Dead: In God We Trust (2024).

The one lesson this journey has taught me is

The path may not have been straight, but it brought
me to exactly where I need to be.

Every twist, every challenge, and every leap of faith led me here. I’ve been the dreamer with no clear plan, the producer navigating tight budgets, and the problem-solver fixing on-set surprises. And now, I’m here to help you. Whether you’re figuring out funding, scheduling shoots, or troubleshooting production chaos, I get it—I’ve lived it. And I know how to guide you through it. You don’t need all the answers right now. You just need the courage to start, and I’ll be here to help you take it step by step.

ABOUT ME

Ryan and Mom_Switzerland_edited_edited.j

On my directing debut, we had a real tiger on set with nothing but a thin electric wire between the crew and this magnificent beast. I was terrified!

Time spent with my son is what I covet most. No accomplishment or milestone compares to the memories we create together.

From zero to dinking pro: I wish! As a dancer with zero eye-hand coordination, pickleball has been a humbling experience. But I love it and not giving up!
